The Mountain Didn’t Ask Me to Be Someone Else

There are moments when we begin something new and quietly wonder if we have any business being there.

That was me when I signed up for 29029. I had never considered myself an athlete, and yet there I was—standing on a mountain surrounded by people who seemed stronger, faster, and more confident, questioning whether I belonged.

This month’s blog is about imposter syndrome, the stories we tell ourselves about who is “allowed” to take up space, and the realization that perhaps the mountain never asked me to become someone else.

Perhaps it only asked me to keep taking the next step.
