Stories from the mountains that changed me - and the journey still unfolding, one step at a time
When Caring Deeply Becomes Exhausting: Wellness for the Empath & Caretaker
This month’s wellness journey explores the often unseen emotional weight carried by empaths and caretakers. From nervous system exhaustion and boundary struggles to the myth of healing in perfect peace, this reflection offers a compassionate look at what it means to care deeply while learning to care for yourself, too.
The Mountain Didn’t Ask Me to Be Someone Else
There are moments when we begin something new and quietly wonder if we have any business being there.
That was me when I signed up for 29029. I had never considered myself an athlete, and yet there I was—standing on a mountain surrounded by people who seemed stronger, faster, and more confident, questioning whether I belonged.
This month’s blog is about imposter syndrome, the stories we tell ourselves about who is “allowed” to take up space, and the realization that perhaps the mountain never asked me to become someone else.
Perhaps it only asked me to keep taking the next step.
The Battles We Cannot See
Sometimes the battles we carry aren’t visible to anyone else. We move through our days smiling, showing up, doing what needs to be done — while quietly navigating challenges no one can see.
This past year reminded me just how heavy those unseen moments can feel… and how healing doesn’t always come in big, dramatic breakthroughs. More often, it arrives in the quiet… through reflection, through faith, and sometimes in the most unexpected ways.
This is a story about one of those moments… and the gentle reminder that even in the middle of uncertainty, we are never truly alone.
Why I Spent Years Fighting My Body — and What Finally Helped Me Stop
I spent years trying to fix my body - dieting harder, pushing more, believing I just needed more discipline. But the real transformation didn’t begin when I changed my workouts. It began when I changed the story I was telling myself. This is the story of how I stopped fighting my body and started honoring it.
When Clarity Isn’t Meant to Be Rushed
January often pressures us to have everything figured out, but clarity rarely appears on command. This month’s New Year Clarity Reset invites a softer beginning — one rooted in noticing, listening, and allowing clarity to emerge at its own pace.
When Strength is Heavy - And Why It’s Okay To Be Human
This year taught me that strength isn’t always steady or unshaken. Sometimes it’s aching, exhausted, and overwhelmingly human. If you’ve been carrying more than you can name, this reflection is for you—a reminder that vulnerability doesn’t diminish your resilience. It deepens it.
